Windows 7 printing - can't print to anything, spooler running.

Windows 7 Home Deluxe

latest Windows updates.

HP AllinOne print/scan device.

Any print to file driver.


First of all the printer will print a status page from the HP app, so connectivity is good. Scans also work.


Trying to print to the printer from any application --Word, Outlook, browser, does nothing.

No error messages, nothing in the spooler.


Tried to print to file using the default XPS printer, nothing there, too.

Spooler is running,

So I suspect something in the spooler/printing subsystem is corrupt.


Any suggestions on what to look for?
