Good day all
I have windows 7 Pro on a HDD that I tried migrating to a bios raid0 of 2x 120GB SSD's on a Asus Z170 M-Plus.
All went fine but when booting it states that windows could not access the required device and needs to be repaired from the install disc.
As you folks know the Z170 chipset does not support win 7 and USB devices so I can not get it recovered or even do a clean install. I really want to get it working and then upgrade to 10 (will this go smoothly?) Does anybody have any suggestions.
Current Settings
The 2 SSD's are BIOS Raided to RAID0.
SATA Controller set from ACHI to RAID in the BIOS.
XCHI handoff is enabled in the BIOS so that you can boot from a USB device.I do not even have a external CD-ROM but access to a laptop.
Used EASUS partiotion master to do the OS migration and it saw only the RAID0 SSD's as one Drive and was successful.
Thank you in advance
