I have 2 laptops running under Win 7. I attached a 2T USB drive to the first and created an image backup no problem. However, the second laptop has been running for hours with the message "Windows is saving the backup", but it never gets past indicating about 10% completion on the status bar. The estimate for space required is around 115MB and the external drive has 1.3T unused. I just finished letting the computer do a bunch of system updates with a restart. It takes a while, but it eventually finds the external drive in the image creation process and sets it as the default for accepting the image. There is a file folder created on the external drive for the backup, but the process doesn't get to completion. Why is image creation stalling?
