Hello to all,

I have been having problems with an update for my laptop. Whenever I checked for updates, it will effectively update and install without problems every update but this one:

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 for x64-based Systems (KB2943357)

After failing installing this update, Windows shows a window with error message 0x8000FFFF

I do not know if the issue is the cause for other issues present on my computer such;

- Duplicate files and folders. (they are all around my computer, and even I delete them they continue to come back, consuming space and causing other issues with organization.

* even my D hard disk partition is gone.

- Speed. Computer is slow, making my browsers to crash.

-The system is more eager to get malware and virus infections/unable to detect some threats.

what have I done so far:

-I have run the windows troubleshooters for this issue and had negative results.

-I have run system repair cd and have not got rid of the update problem

-Avast Premium Support technicians remotely accessed my computer and tried alternative solutions, all unsuccessful to the present time. I believe honestly they generated this problems since the computer was fine before calling for an scheduled service to clean my hard drive, a month ago. Right after that I actually started to find the error update windows and other issues showing after.

I have decided to come here and present my issue to the community, hoping to find a clear path to the solution on this problem.

I will definitely appreciate the patience and extra considerations regarding support as I am relatively new to Windows and its ways, give me headaches.

Thank you!
