My Windows 7 computer was stuck in a boot loop. Computer was working good last time I used it and had no sign that I could have any lurking problems.
Computer would not boot into safe mode and Windows repair could not repair and also not able to preform system restore. Also tried boot logging, would get so far and then reboot. Tired several time and fail at the same place. (did not write down the line that it stopped on. I could boot to Active Boot Disk with no problems and also ran memory test from a cdrom. No problems found. Guess what, after running mem test, computer is running okay, have rebooted several times, no problems. Shutdown and restart, okay also. Computer did not blue screen, I also check for a mini dump file, none.
sfc /scannow and chkdsk did not find any problems.
Anyone know any tools that I could try to see if I could find any problems before a complete failure?
Computer specs
Windows 7 Pro 64bit (never felt the need to update to Win10 on this computer)
i7 quad core processor 2.93GHz
24mb RAM ( play with VM's is why the extra RAM)
Thank you,
Doug
