I decided to upgrade my dad's computer from 7 to 10 without taking into account that his computer's pretty old and might not have all the updated drivers installed. Half way through the upgrade the screen started to go crazy and settled into a pattern of coloured vertical bars covering the screen. The computer never recovered from this state so I restarted the computer. Windows started to revert back to 7 meaning I probably interrupted the upgrade and broke something. I'm hoping this might still be fixable though.

Trying to boot the computer normally I get the following crash dump:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status
of 0x00000000 (0xc0000001 0x000106a8).
The system has been shut down.

I can boot into safe mode, but about a few minutes in the screen either starts to go crazy again or goes black. I thought this might be a display driver issue but trying to upgrade it in Device Manager (Safe Mode) gives me the following:

The best driver software for your device is already installed

Windows has determined the driver software for your computer is up to date.

ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series

If anyone has any helpful debugging steps or tips other than reinstalling the OS I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
