windows 11 won't recognize WD My Passport EHD

After the windows 11 update to my Microsoft Surface Pro X, Windows doesn't recognize my Western Digital My Passport drive. The only thing it does show is a "Virtual CD_ROM" with the drive unlocker app. When I try to run the WD Unlocker on the virtual CD-ROM I get an error message stating that Unlocker must be run from the Virtual CD-ROM on the external hard drive. Everything was working fine until the Windows 11 uodate. I've tried ununstalling the drive in device manager an restarting but it didn't fix the problem.
