Windows 11 "user profile service" error

Since accepting the migration to Windows 11 some 10 days ago (from Windows 10) my Dell Inspiron desktop regularly fails to load the "User Profile Service". This means my browsing history, saved website passwords, desktop link to installed 3rd party s/w are all missing and I cannot log in to Microsoft to refresh the profile. If I re-boot the PC all is restored. This has now happened 4 or 5 times.
