Windows 11 upgrade

My PC way exceeds the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11 but when running PC health it says "TPM 2.0 must be supported and enabled on this PC". When I read about TPM 2.0 and how to enable it I'm shocked by the technical things I need to do, the amount of potentially destructive actions is huge. Is MS really expecting people to alter the OS registry in order to fix this?! I'm stunned. I didn't understand half of the description.
