Yesterday I updated Windows to the latest version, it requested to restart the laptop, which I did. Since then, when I turn the laptop on, it shows only the windows recovery environment, with very limited options. And none of the troubleshooting options help. Need to mention that prior to the windows update I ran a software that updates drivers on my laptop. I suspect it might have created some problems.
