Windows 11 Snipping Tool v 11.2405.32.0 - Delay function not working

I'm trying to grab a snip of an open menu. When I choose the Delay 5 Seconds option and click "new", it delays then goes right back to the snipping tool menu. It never gives the option to drag and choose what to snip. The menu disappears. Nothing happens.
