Windows 11 reinstall (to latest version) is stuck at 99% on the install screen and has taken hours

Hello, I have been trying to reinstall windows 11 since I discovered I had 21h2 and the latest one is actually 24h2, not sure why I never got updated but I believe it's been causing my laptop some problems as of late. So I decided to try and install and update it from the official website (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11); the "downloading" in the installer took a while but the actual "Install" process has been taking hours, I wasn't sure if this was normal.
