Windows 11 Notepad keeps losing Monospaced font formatting

font: Courier NewI'm using some "Ascii Art" in a TXT file for different section. Been doing this for years.With Windows 11, the Notepad puts in spaces between the lines and doesn't display the monospaced font correctly.if i click on the Gear icon, and just change the font size, and go back to the text, it displays correctly. So it knows what to do. But if I close and reopen, it goes back to the bad formatting.(I tried to attach to images to show this. Not sure they came thru.)
