Windows 11 not allowing me to open JPG files

I've had this issue for a while, but it's really started to frustrate and upset me as I have a lot of images and photos that I have kept for years that I can no longer open. I have recently moved country, and so my photos are the only things I have to remember friends and family, and I cannot open them.I swapped from PC to a Dell laptop a few years ago, and transferred files via OneDrive and some via hard drive. At first, all worked fine, but then after a Windows update, my old photos and images stopped opening. I have since moved to a new HP laptop a couple months ago, and I am having exactly
