The doc here does not work as described: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/wi.../desktop/customize-the-windows-11-start-menu1. Modify the Start Menu to have 4 pined items2. Export-StartLayout –path .\LayoutModification.jsoni.e.{"pinnedList":[{"desktopAppId":"MSEdge"},{"desktopAppId":"Microsoft.Office.WINWORD.EXE.15"},{"desktopAppId":"Microsoft.Office.EXCEL.EXE.15"},{"desktopAppId":"Microsoft.Office.POWERPNT.EXE.15"}]}3. Copying LayoutModification.json to: C:\Users\default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\4. Create new account and login. 5. The Start Menu is still OEM.
