I had written the image to the usb via the writer that came with linux mint, which I know worked before, at least when I tried to install onto an MBR filesystem, as I used to install mint with MBR. but it seems like after writing a linux distro to my boot drive with the gpt file system, at least with Linux mint, I distro hopped twice since but I suspect it's still gpt, it can't find them.Both the drives on my system are formatted as ext4, with the boot drive having an EFI partition.The only thing I haven't tried is to erase the partitions on the drives, but if there's any known way to fix this
