Windows 11 Home Edition Suddenly asking for Activation; Error: 0xC004F050 product key invalid

My windows 11 Home edition is suddenly asking to activate windows. The PC was custom built over a year ago, and the OS is genuine. I'm getting this message when I use Command prompt to query slmgr/ ipk, "Error:0xC004F050 The Software Licensing Service reported that the product key is invalid." Activation troubleshoot doesn't fix the issue. The Windows install is OEM, if that info helps. Not sure how to proceed. Any help would be much appreciated.
