Windows 11 Home activation issue - Failed Product key

So I built a desktop PC about a year ago (from a former tech professional coworker's recommendations), bought Windows 11 Home USB from Best Buy, installed, everything worked great. About 4 months in, suddenly the product key was invalid and I got stuck with the "Activate Windows". I contacted Microsoft support and a lady helped me troubleshoot for a week straight. Super nice, super helpful. We tried redownloading, she pulled product keys from some database she had (idk it was early 2024, memory is a little fuzzy on that bit), nothing worked. She said microsoft couldn't replace the old product
