Windows 11 DVD Drive Requires Polling to See Disk Contents

The problem is that CDs appear to be not recognized by the drive/Windows, but yet they are. Normally I would expect that when I insert a CD (in this case audio CDs), once Windows mounts the media, it should pop up in Explorer or if you have Windows Media Player running, it should pop up there too. That’s how it has always worked on every computer I’ve ever used. In my case, it doesn’t do that most of the time. And yet, if run DISKPART from a command prompt and enter the command LIST VOLUME, the CD shows up there and immediately pops into Explorer and/or media player. Same thing happens w
