Windows 11 - Check HDMI-In Cable message

My HP Pavilion PC was updated to Windows 11 late last year and seemed to work fine afterwards. I did not use it for most of December 2024, but when I switched it on in January 2025 I was met with a black screen and the message 'Check HDMI-In Cable!'.Also on the screen there is a power icon in the bottom left-hand corner and three other icons in the bottom right corner. My mouse is connected by USB and does not function as a pointer does not appear.
