Windows 11 Black Screen with Mouse pointer after login

Hi,I recently booted up my Win 11 (Version 23H2) HP laptop and was greeted with a black screen. No desktop, no apps, nothing, Weirdly the mouse pointer was visible and controllable. Multiple re-boots, in and out of Safe Mode, Windows Recovery Environment etc. didn't get me anywhere. I wanted to post this message to hopefully save you some time if you find yourself in the same situation.Cutting a long story short: I found several corrupted files and a missing system file - explorer.exeFrom what I understand explorer.exe handles the bulk of GUI operations.Hitting Ctrl - Alt - Delete at the black
