Windows 11 and Desktop Icons

In versions prior to Windows 10, I could add "Desktop Icons" after right-clicking the task bar and selecting it. I don't like my screen cluttered with icons so I turn them off in the View options. Is it not possible to have the list of desktop icons pop up from the task bar in Windows 11?Thanks
