Windows 10 upgrade failed and now black screen with cursor srrow

I tried to upgrade my desktop from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10. I did it in the morning but left it to finish while I was at work. When my husband got home it said it was 99% complete so he just minimized it and used the computer. By the time I got home a few hours had passed and it was still at 99%. I tried to restart and now after I get through the Starting Windows and password screens. I have a black screen with the cursor arrow which does move fine. How can I fix this? Thank you!!
