Overview
I recently changed ISP and as such got a new router. When I connect my laptop to the WiFi, I am able to browse the internet, play online games etc. but the network connection menu in the bottom right of the taskbar says 'No internet, secured'. I wouldn't mind this except that it prevents me from using certain apps such as Outlook as it thinks it doesn't have an internet connection (I am able to connect to outlook in the browser fine, but it's a bit annoyingly that the Outlook app doesn't work). I have also tried plugging in an ethernet connection - again I am able to browse but the connection symbol changes to the ethernet symbol with a red x, and I still have the same problem with Outlook.
Debugging
If I go to the Network and Sharing centre in the control panel it says I am currently not connected to any networks. If I then click on Change Adapter Settings the WiFi adapter shows it is connected to the correct WiFi and that the connection is active!
My housemates have no had this issue on their laptops.
My laptop works fine on other WiFi networks.
I do notice that when I power on my laptop it shows the correct connection as expected, but when I log in it then suddenly swaps to not showing the connection even though I am still able to connect and browse.
Things I've tried
1. Updating WiFi and network drivers - all up to date.
2. Updating Windows - up to date.
3. Network Troubleshooter - recognises an issue, suggests Networking Reset, which doesn't fix the issue.
4. Removing VPN software - error still occurs.
Things I will try
Creating a new account on my laptop and seeing if it has the same issues, since the problem only occurs after I login (it shows the connection is fine at the login screen).
Edit 1
The connection is not fine at the login screen. It shows a different symbol however the network status is still 'No internet, secure'.
I tried a Network Reset (as per [How To] Reset Network Settings To Default In Windows 10)
This didn't fix the issue.
I tried running SFC (as per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...er-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system)
This failed on the DCIM stage at 86%.
Edit 2
I tried restarting Network Location Awareness
This didn't fix the issue.
