Windows 10 O/S upgrade failed. How do I identify what caused 0xC1900101 – 0x20017 error? I’ve checked Device Manager Hidden Devices.

Tried numerous times using Windows Update and MediaCreationToll22H2 both from the C drive and also an external USB drive but after the long process the O/S stays at Vn 1511.What can be causing this problem and where do I find the Microsoft log file that informs what has caused this failure?Searched Google intensively but nothing conclusive.Thanks.
