Windows 10 not booting to boot ssd after fresh install

I have been trying to install windows 10 on my computer after buying it used but whenever i install the os then restart the pc (for updates or other reasons) the pc does not boot to the ssd. I then go into the bios and the ssd is available and in the correct boot order however it still won’t boot to the ssd and instead will either go back into the bios or tell me to insert boot drive. I have tried to use secure boot mode, changing the partition of the ssd to gpt, updating bios, checking sata cables and also checking the drives health when in windows and it is fine.Mobo: msi h110 pro vh plusCpu
