Windows 10 Malware issue

Got a call from Credit Card Co. that my Lap top was infected with malware. I ran defender full scan and off line. Neither showed any viruses. I downloaded Microsoft Safety Security and ran a full scan. While running it detected 4 infected files before finishing. When I came back after it finished it said no infections found. So did it clean the infected files? I don't have Microsoft 365.
