Windows 10 Home activation

I have a license key for a Full version of Windows 8.1 Home. I installed it in a VMWare virtual machine and eventually upgraded the OS to Windows 10 Home. I recently migrated the VM to Hyper-V (on a licensed Windows 11 Pro PC) and now I am not able to activate the Windows 10 license. How can I activate Windows 10?
