Since Tuesday the 16th of February Windows 10 would crash on me each time it attempted to go to sleep. This was needless to say very frustrating.
I'm running Insider Preview - Build 21318.rs_prerelease.210216-1530
That version came with an update to the USB driver for the Xbox 360 Controller Wireless Receiver. The first update to that driver on my system since 2009. The driver is now called xusb22 (instead of xusb21 that I used prior). Uninstalling the driver and manually telling windows to use the old driver fixed the problem.
I'm posting here because isolating this was a bit of a pain and I think it might help others.
