I have Dell Inspiron 7559, which I upgraded by adding Samsung 860 SSD M.2 of 500GB. The SSD was successfully installed and activated in the system. I am looking to achieve 2 things:
1. Freshly install Win 10 (OS) on SSD and make it bootable.
2. Format the old HDD and use it as storage device.
However, in BIOS the option for booting from USB doesn't appear. Also, no option to make the new SSD as a bootable device.
Here by sharing some key BIOS configuration from my system:
Main(Tab) -
First HDD - Samsung SSD 860 - 500GB (newly installed and need to load win 10 OS & make it bootable)
Second HDD - ST-1tb Hard disk (where the win 10 OS is currently installed)
Advance (Tab) -
SATA Operation - AHCI
Secure (Tab) -
Secure Boot - Enabled
Boot (Tab) -
Boot List Option - UEFI (I am not able to modify this even after hitting the enter key)
File Browser Add Boot Option - (Hitting Enter key shows the HDD in selection)
File Browser Del Boot Option - (Hitting Enter key shows the HDD in selection)
Secure Boot - Enabled
Load Legacy ROM - Disabled (not modifiable)
Boot Option Priorities:
Option#1 - Windows Boot Manager
Option#2 - (Onboard NIC IPV4)
Option#3 - (Onboard NIC IPV6)
I have uploaded the BIOS configuration images below for more details:
BIOS
Kindly advise how to go about making the necessary changes.
