Windows 10 automatic repair loop - A recently serviced boot binary is corrupt.

Hi,After a Windows update 15 laptops got stuck in the automatic repair loop, it was only possible to boot in Safe Mode, examining the SrtTrail.txt files show the root cause as "A recently serviced boot binary is corrupt" does anyone know what this error message means? It's not a very helpful error message; I would like to understand what actually happened as it affected 15 laptops in the space of a weekend and created a lot of work, I would like to avoid this from happening again. All attempts to recover Windows failed, resulting in the system needing to be clean installed; I created HD images
