I have tried to install the Windows 10 Anniversary update 3 times on my HP PC; all 3 times the installation process froze at approximately the 40% mark.
This is my system configuration:
Windows 10 Pro (with all the lastest updates and checked with sfc /scannow for integrity violations
Processors (4): Intel Core i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 10.0 GB
Hard Drive: 2.0 TB with a 2.0 TB external
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
The last time I attempted an install, I let the machine run for 3 days to no avail. I then tried to go back to Windows 10 but it would not do so cleanly. I eventually ended up wiping my hard drive clean and re-installing Windows 10 from a recovery flash drive.
Please advise.
