I have a small SSD drive on my Dell 3050 micro desktop (30 GB of which 17.5 is taken by Win 10 Home, leaving 11.1 GB free. The difference is a hidden disk for Dell stuff). I am able to download the update/compatibility check program (Windows10Upgrade9252.exe) and run it. But when it gets to the computer check part, it indicates that while my CPU and Memory are OK, my disk space is inadequate. Says it needs 20 GB. Now I have another USB3 connected hard drive with plenty of space (over 800 GB), but that seems to be irrelevant. I have run Disk Cleaner, Update Trouble Shooter and removed every [possible program from Win 10. All that remains is Windows files including 0.5 GB of OneDrive. The original version of Win 10 came pre-installed on my machine. MY calls to Support were less than successful. On 1stlevel person tried to remotely re-format my C drive! Fortunately, the system stopped her; otherwise I would have had a disaster.
SO what an I do? Any non-destructive suggestions will be appreciated. Personally, I think Microsoft has erred in the install of this release..
