Beginning in March 2018, the time would suddenly change to a future date. I reset the time server, bouncing some days over to NIST and other days (because the time's wrong a lot – still was yesterday, Nov. 4, 2018) to WINDOWS. Even had logmeintechs try to fix it, but, of course, they didn't know anything else besides to do what I had already done. I replaced the battery. The 'old' one tested exactly the same as the new one, so the battery had nothing to do with it.
Beginning Jun 15, 2018, about one thousand of my excel hyperlinks automatically changed their addresses from the documents folder (correct) to the appdata folder (certainly not my doing!) between 3:46 AM when I closed excel (2016/365 home) and when a backup was saved the next evening.
Sometime around this time, windows 10 BSOD'd a bunch of times.
I made the mistake of asking for help. Since Aug 25, 2018, I've had about 30 logmeintechs on my computer.
Some even changed my backup files!!! I have so many case numbers I’ve lost track.
Now I have wiped the disk 3 times, reinstalled Windows 10 4 times, once at the local Microsoft store whose techs kept it for 7 days and proclaimed that all the hardware is fine (I built it in Oct 2016. It was, sadly, born with windows 10.) They tried over and over to reinstall windows 10 1803 and finally did. But, they could not figure out and fix the problems.
Took it back again (me, 2nd time, hand truck, quarter mile trek across Dallas' Northpark Mall parking lot - no fun.) Total waste of time and mileage.
Now I have something like 5 user accounts, 3 ‘computer names’ and my poor data strewn between them all.
None of my settings are available from backup, apparently.
I've not been able to access my email since the logmeintech reinstalling Office screwed it up and all of my emails since 2013 went upstream to clog up my webpage's email servers. Another tech told me not to delete anything because they didn't know if it would delete them from my computer, too.
So, my customers must think I'm dead or something.
Now, my Brother printer (printer worked from 9:34 PM until about noon the next day) and my HP scanner, not new, don't work. Both did with Windows 10 1803, (scanner worked yesterday) until Windows killed them while I wasn't looking.
So, I can't scan or print or check email.
I've spent waaaay more than 100 hours - online with techs.
I've had microsoft techs disconnect while doing things on my computer. I actually have a video of my reaction to: while waiting (1 hr and 59 sec) for a level 2 supervisor, I was disconnected. It’s not pretty.
I have spoken with techs in the Philippines, El Salvador, Washington, Dallas, Nicaragua and India since 8/25/18.
I've spent a ridiculous number of hours by the phone, waiting for a scheduled call from 'upper tier' support only they never called - several times (I even put the phone in a bag so I could take a shower).
The best service I've received is from Office's engineers. They don't know what to do, either, but the supervisor's manager's manager said he'd get with the equal Windows team, but that was about 2 weeks ago.
I’d like to know:
1. why is Microsoft trying so hard to put me out of business?
2. Why is there not tech support that is real? I will not pay my extra-hard-earned money to fix what Microsoft did to my personal possession – my computer!
3. Why has microsoft shoved unwanted things down my throat? I don’t want Candy Crush (you should be embarrassed), xbox or 3d or onedrive or cortana or any other microsoft spyware on my computer!!!
I will tell you that there is no way I would ever treat my customers this way!
How can I find event viewer or some kind of system viewer files from backup to see what it was the microsoft did to my computer on Jun 15, 2018 while I was asleep?
SO NOW WHAT DO I DO?
I paid good money for this software. Nothing's wrong with my system or it's devices, even according to Microsoft, itself.
Please, someone, please! SO NOW WHAT DO I DO? OH, PLEASE!
