Window update stuck at 99%

I’’m already running Windows 10 and was just trying to do the latest update and it’s stuck at 99%. I left it overnight but no change so I’ve tried to restart, same thing happened. I’ve tried trying the internet off, made no difference. I’ve tried pressing F8 when restarting but it just goes straight to trying to install the update. I’ve read some previous solutions which suggest going through the start menu but it doesn’tgive me that option as it goes from the acer screen to a blank screen then to the running the update. Any help would be great fully appreciated. Many thanks
