WINDOW TEN PRO WON'T BOOTUP

Hello,I have a PC with window ten pro installed. Recently the PC would boot up and I could open an application. Within two minutes everything would stop. The mouse would not move, none of the function keys worked. I would restart it, same thing. When I try to restart (pressing either the shift key or the f8 key??) I does take me to the "choose an option" menu. I am able to hit troubleshoot. When I hit either "reset this pc", or "advanced options" everything just freezes.When I purchased this PC many years ago, it came with window 7 pro installed. I can't find the windows ten pro key,
