Window 11 ROG Zephyrus laptop stuttering when running any game, lag spike every 2 seconds.

I've searched everywhere on google and edge, asked about it on reddit, etc, but I haven't found anything related. It started randomly, and one time (this has happened before but without the lag spikes accompanied by it) the lagging stopped for a few hours, then it started again when the screen went black, went back to the login screen, and did it over and over a few times till it stopped. This issue came out of nowhere, but there was some update the day before it started, so that may have something to do with it. I haven't tried anything to fix it as I have no idea what I could do to fix it in
