Win11 Applied Office 2010 updates. Now can't log in. Pin not recognized. Account locked.

I have a one week old installation of Windows 11 Pro. I had installed Office 2010 Pro (yeah, I know - it's old but works fine for me). All well until I applied a long list of Windows Updates (most for Office 2010). After restarting I can't log in. When I tried entering my PIN, I got "Your credentials could not be verified" and an OK button.After clicking the OK button, it displays "Something went wrong and your PIN isn't available (status: 0xc0000234, substatus: 0x0). Restart your device to see if that fixes the problem." Of course, restarting fixes nothing. But it also gives a "Sign-in
