I have an HP 4530s ProBook. It had gone through all upgrades from 7.1 through time quite well. Well, that is compared to other cases I have read about recently with WIN10 udgrade issues. At least it was running well with the latest WIN 10 version. However with WIN 11 I got a dead upgrade. No bootup or ability to log on at all. I now have a basically dead drive with nothing to recover from. It will go through the motions if I load windows support and recovery from the boot sequence with function keys prior it attempting to load the Windows program.
