Win 11 Update locked my laptop!

Doing regular update. Laptop restarts. Get a message something to the effect :"SOMETHING DIDN'T GO QUITE RIGHT...REMOVING FILES". It restarted again and when I hit the spacebar to go to the password prompt, the wallpaper blurs and no prompt appears. In the lower right hand corner is a power button and internet connection status icon but no password field. After about 30 seconds the wallpaper unblurs itself. If I try to get the password prompt again it just blurs the wallpaper with no prompt. I can't even get into my machine to see what the problem MIGHT be. I'm completely locked out Please hel
