Wifi window is not closing and get stuck

Hi, Recently, I connected my laptop to public Wi-Fi. So when the network was selected (specifically from the right bottom), it would ask for the username and password to connect. This is where the issue is happening. The username and password dialogue box gets stuck and does not get closed. Then, I need to go for a shutdown to remove the window. What is the solution for this?
