Wifi radio turned on by itself

I have chosen not to use wifi, as I am in an apartment building and I don't want anyone to access my router or my computer. Today, the wifi radio turned on by itself. I went into my windows defender and turned it off. Now I wonder if a piece of malware turned it on and if other settings have been changed on my firewall/windows defender settings. What should my firewall settings be set at? I'm on Windows10 and I have an Actiontec V1000H router. I was on Windows Teams this morning. Could this application have turned it on?Thanks! Charlotte
