wifi option disappeared

i have tried everything i can find to solve this issue but it has persisted. the wifi option does not appear in the ‘network and internet’ section, there are only options for ethernet, vpn and airplane mode. i’ve tried to uninstall/update the drivers in device manager but the drivers do not even appear at all. (the chip is MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 Wireless LAN card) the only drivers that show up are for the ethernet and WAN Miniport. i’ve also tried to perform a network reset but that also hasn’t done anything to help.edit: when i restart my computer, it connects to the wifi but then after a wh
