Wifi Network Adapter Disconnecting

After my computer sleeps, my Wifi won't work and I have to physically unplug and replug the USB dongle to get it to work. When I use the troubleshooter I get a message that says "you are connected with a virtual adapter we can't test", or it prompts me to reset my network adapter, which gets it working again. All of my drivers are up to date, and I've disabled all of the power saving options for the wireless adapter, per every post I've read on here about the issue. This is super annoying, how do I fix it?
