Wifi button disappeared on my laptop, how do i resolve this?

The WiFi button just disappeared and the laptop cannot be connected to the internet. On Device Manager, under Network Adaptors, there is a warning sign, which states the device status as "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". What does this mean, and how do I resolve this? Thank you.
