WIA Scan error?

I run 2 x multi-function printers (HP Pagewide Pro MFP 477dw) through Windows 11. The scanner function on both devices isn't working and shows a WIA issue message. I've tried several uninstalls and re-installs, updated all drivers, run diagnostic software (both Mincrosoft and HP Print/Scan Doctor) all to no avail. What else can I try?
