Why won't Windows see my new Buffalo SSD-PG external hard drive

I'm running Windows 8 on my desktop.I got a new 1.0TB Buffalo SSD-PG1.OU3B-US. I plugged it into my device, it lit up and ran its formatting program, then it just disappeared. Doesn't show up as a hard drive, and doesn't show up in disk manager.It shows up in Device Manager as USB Attached SCSI (UAS) Mass Storage Device, but it has the yellow exclamation point icon and when I look at properties, it gives me a "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" error message.I've tried updating the driver, but it tells me that "the driver software for [my] device is up to date."The drive works fine with my o
