why won't windows 11 file explorer won't let me disable preview and details pane

I am not a fan of the details pane or preview pane in windows 11 file explorer. I have looked online for any way to permanently turn them off, or in other words, disable. When using the view table there is a dot next to which one is enabled. I can switch between. I tried clicking on the one enables hoping to turn it off. No luck. With the way we work and how we're organized, I would prefer to remove that column so I can see all the files in a folder.
