why wont my windows 10 pc detect any usb connections other than my mouse and keyboard

recently my pc started not detecting anything but my keyboard, mouse, and audio input and output. tried restarting it, tried updating the drivers, nothing has changed. it provides power to chargers, but doesn't detect them at all, no notification, no noise, no nothing.
