Why won't my wifi connect with the right password?

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I was watching YouTube videos on my laptop and did not realise it was not plugged in properly, so it died. After plugging it in again and turning it on again, the WiFi suddenly stopped working. It was working perfectly fine about 5 minutes before, even after it came on again it was working for a few minutes. When I try to connect, it asks me to enter "Enter the network security key", which I do but then it says "Can't connect to this network".
